Your appraisal ensures that in the case of loss, theft, or damage your insurance company will be more likely to provide you with a replacement item of equivalent value. The more detailed and accurate the information in the appraisal is, the better chance you will have of receiving an identical replacement for the lost item. Your insurance provider will rely on this appraisal and any photographs you have to calculate a coverage rate for your diamond, diamond jewelry or other items of fine jewelry.
